Getting Started

Welcome to my newest book blogging endeavor, Sugar Creek Romance, and one that I'm very excited to share with you!  If you enjoy reading Amish Fiction and Inspirational Western Romance, then this is the place for you.

Growing up in Northeast Ohio, visiting Amish communities has always been a part of my life and one that I truly enjoy and cherish. Whether it's traveling south to Sugar Creek, Ohio or nearby Middlefield, Ohio, our trips are always memorable!  And with each visit, I purchase a new book that has led to my love for tales of Amish life and romance, as well as inspirational historical romances.  Here at Sugar Creek Romance I'll be sharing with your my latest book reviews, author interviews, giveaways, as well as my favorite Amish recipes and our recent shopping trips to Ohio Amish country.  Won't you join me on this journey through time and books?

I'm currently reading Lydia's Charm by Wanda E. Brunstetter and I'll be  posting my review later this week, but for now I'll leave you with a brief synopsis from the cover:

Widowed and jobless, Lydia King moves her son and herself to Charm, Ohio, to be close to her mother and help with her grandfather. Menno Troyer, a furniture store owner, is also recently widowed and the father of four energetic boys. Levi Stutzman, another newcomer to the area, is the only one in his family not handicapped by dwarfism and has dedicated his life to caring for them. As fall colors the countryside, will anonymous gifts left for Lydia bring her hope for a new life and romance, or will another tragedy flood her with infinite despair?
